Light

Every human need light to survive. Without light, no one can survive; spiritually or physically.

"From within or from behind, a light shines through us upon things, and makes us aware that we are nothing, but the light is all."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Human in darkness is blinded. We cannot survive. We are lost. We are depressed.

We need light.

"All human souls, never so bedarkened, love light; light once kindled, spreads till all is luminous."
- Thomas Carlyle

We need light in our lives, so that we can be light to others as well.
But before we shine to others, we must be sure that the light in us is brightly shining.

"Let your light shine. Shine within you so that it can shine on someone else. Let your light shine."
- Oprah Winfrey

Let us spread light in this darken world of ours. Lets give hope to those in need.

Spread the light.

Heavy eyes

Don't you feel sometime you just need to sleep wherever you are? In the bus, in the car, in classes even?

I was on the bus and it was a really long wait to get onto that bus. Most people were rather grumpy by the time the bus came.

The moment some got into the bus and find a good seat, it was nap time. The back of the bus seems to be the best.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Some would chit chat with other passenger before dozing off.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Overall, hte bus ride is pretty quiet and the air-cond, oohhhh...nice, especially after standing in the hot Malaysia weather.

Heheh.

Enjoy.

Sorry for the late post, I had to reformat my PC and re-install everything again

Footprints in the sand...

This is a beautiful poem by Mary Steveson.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

This poem has never fail to remind me how much God cares for me and how He carry me up when I fall many times in life. This poem reassures me that whenever life is treating me bad, He will be there to support me.

Thank you, Lord.

Life is...

...sweet, sour, bitter, spicy.

Sometimes i wonder why people who have full ability don't work, while those who are lacking in some areas work so hard to earn a living.

Why people with full ability turn to robbery to earn a living, while those who are lacking in some areas do the tough jobs, working hard under the sun making an honest living.

It amazes me the how some people being 'kurang upaya' (lack of ability) try all ways to earn an honest living. In a way, yes, they are begging but they don't just sit there and beg. They do what they can and hope for people to be kind and give them some change or just a few cents.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I saw this man in front of the KL Monorail exit and he just sits there, drawing with crayons the monorail or LRT.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Some people are purely ignorant to this man, some just out of pity drop a few coins or RM1 into his bowl.
Me? I stood there watching him and taking a few pictures of him although I was in quite a rush. It somehow didn't matter.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I just stood there thinking... why can't everyone just use what God has given to them to earn a living.
Here in the middle of busy Brickfields is this man, with a bad eyesight trying to make a living, while in other part of KL, we hear young people becoming snatch thieves or just lazing at home after getting a diploma, eating out of their old parent's pocket.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The world has change.
It's not just the disable begging out in the streets but young people, with both hand and legs, good eye sight sitting at the side of the street, begging.
Why can't they just work? Be an office boy, waiter or something instead of begging?!
If only this example set by the man being followed. Use what God has given you to the fullest.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When you used what God has given you, I believe you'll prosper in life.
At the end of the day (or month) you'll be like this man, counting how much he has earn through a hard day's work.

Don't be lazy.

and if you are wondering did i give anything to the man, the answer is yes. How much? You don't need to know :)

Cheers.

Skies

Blue skies on a day to the beach would be great. Then you can have all the fun you ever want.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Keeping myself out of the sun and under the shades of the tall pine trees, I tried to get the best out of the sky, beach, ocean and pine tree.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Shifting my position, I thought that this shot was rather similar to the shot I took before in Blue Skies2 . Just that this was vertical.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Looking left, right, up, and down, I thought that the clouds look huge that day and pretty fluffy too.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Moving away from the beach and on the way back to the condo I stayed, I saw this sky. So, I stop the car and just took a few picture, which this turn out to be better than the rest.

The building structure on the right is Northam Hotel, Penang.

And finally...

A picture that I took while waiting for lunch to arrive at Tanjung Country Club, Penang.

A trip to the beach

During Christmas I went to the Pearl of the Orient, Penang. Not that much of a pearl though -_-"

Being in Penang, you can't escape the beach (normally)

So, on the beach I saw a bitch.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Bitch as in female dog. What were you thinking???

So I went walking along the beach. Looking at what people were doing. A lot of non Malaysian there.

There was this Iranian group of people. Full clothing and out to the sea!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

To play water? Nahhh! They were waiting for their turn on the Banana Boat.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

They even have the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on the beach! Now, that's new

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And a cruise to somewhere? Hmm...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Of course there were lots of 'mat salleh' / 'kuai lo' / westerners there.

The bikini ladies, fresh from the sea.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Wonder what he is thinking...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And looking around further, I spotted a drool worthy looking guy!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

unfortunately he was with his girlfriend.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sigh... Haha

Some just love watching what others are doing

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Maybe even a chat on the phone.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

and playing some instrument

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Looking at our locals were fun too.

Let's play 'Bury your friend'

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"I believe I'm strong and will be a famous weight lifter one day"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

But if you're too young, a trip to the beach might be bored

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

coz your elder siblings will be in the sea playing and you can't go anywhere.

Overall, it was a fun day at the beach.

Enjoy.

sorry if it took you long to load.
and this post was suppose to be up few days before this but i couldn't get the pictures hosted!

Friends

On the eve of 2007, a lot of us went to the mamak after a family night at church.

We just talk, chat, joke, crap and cam-whored at the mamak.

It's just fun having friends around.

19 of us stormed the mamak, forcing them to join 5 tables together. Not only that, we actually took up space at a corridor that did not belong to the mamak.

Since there we so many of us, group photo had to be taken separately.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Look at the guy in the middle. Fake tuxedo or real?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Some are just happy that 2007 have arrived. Peace, bro.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Some are maybe just ignorant... Hrngh 2007? So what?!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
He's not always like this, in fact he's a great guy. And girls, he's still single!

Some just can't wait to drink their Milo shake. Oh, by the way, all 19 of us ordered Milo shake. I think the guy can't stop shaking already after that.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And some, gone bit weird. Brrrr.... *geli*

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And me? Just trying my best to capture everyone's moment.

Cheers.

First few pictures

These are the first few pictures I took in the year 2007!

And yeah, I took over 10,000 pictures since I got my trusty Canon Powershot A400! My SD Card went back to 0001. Heheh

Yep, as I was saying in the previous post about the mamak-ing and fireworks, here are the photos.

Fireworks are just pretty.... noisy.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Of course, they burn a hole in pocket of the person who bought it. POKAI mah...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Then again, it's only those who are really rich would buy such things.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

For them to enjoy, and of course for us who tumpang to enjoy their enjoyment.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

But why people spend like hundreds just to see them go burn in a few minutes? A passion? An enjoyment? Just to show they are rich and can afford it?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Whatever the reason, I'm just happy that there are people like that here in Malaysia.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

So all of us who can't buy it ourselves can enjoy it.

Cheers.
